Mercedes-Benz W464 G500 Tuning – M176/M177/M178 Bosch MED17.7.5 A1779004700
We are proud to present you with our latest W464 G500 tuning project on the most recent version of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class (W464) with a 4.0 l bi-turbo engine. When stock, the M176 engine with the designation DE40 LA produces 422 hp (310 kW) from 5,250 to 5,500 RPM and 610 Nm (450 lb-ft) of torque from 2,000-4,750 when stock.
Use of the latest 9G-Tronic gearbox in this G-Class improved emissions and fuel efficiency without compromising performance, making the massive SUV a more sensible car, but still impressively fun with the same commanding presence on the road.
Our Mercedes-Benz W464 G500 tuning results in a car that is noticeably faster than the stock one, but also within the safe limits for all OEM parts. The new power and torque figures are 514 hp and 746 Nm of torque from our Stage 1 Mercedes-Benz W464 G 500 tuning.
It is worth noting that this engine is also used in a great number of different cars. For example, the one in the G 500 is paired with a Bosch MED17.7.5 A1779004700 ECU and 38088 software number. The same, M176 version of the engine is used in the G550, G500 4×4, S560 and Maybach S560, while its other versions such as the M177 are used in AMG C63, C63 S, E63, E63 S, S63, GLC63, GLC63S, GT63, GT63 S and even Aston Martin DB11 V8 and Vantage. The M178 is another variation used in a number of different AMG GT models and even the Brabus B40S.
Engines in these different applications produce varying power and torque outputs, but they all result in stunning performance and we can tune all of them for the extra push that would set your vehicle apart from any other on the road. The Mercedes-Benz W464 G500 tuning we performed is a great example of what we can do.
